How to Get Catfish in Fields of Mistria

In town of Fields of Mistria, there are numerous requests from the villagers to help them as side quests such as Tea Seeds. One of of them is to catch Catfish for the Hemlock. This side quest will appear quite early in the game. Catfish is one of the many fish in Fields of Mistria. However, without proper guidance it could be hard to find it. Fields of Mistria: Catfish

On Spring 17, Hemlock will post a request on the Request Board near the General Store. The post will be about the need of a Catfish for his new special recipe he’s working. The reward in exchange is the Breaded Catfish; the dish he is working on. The reward might be the one you are expecting but a new dish to try will be a huge fun. So here is all you need to catch a Catfish.

Where to Find Catfish

Before you look for the locations, you need to have a Fishing Rod. You can choose the standard one also. However, if you don’t have any then here’s what to do. You can get it by forging it at the Blacksmith. You can also purchase it from Tackle Shop at the Beach for 500 Tesserae. Once you have your fishing rod, let’s go on a fishing trip.

Catfish is available throughout the year. There will be many ponds to find it. But the one with lily pads are the good charm to fish. However, the best spot to fish is the on the northern side of the town, left to the entrance of Manor House. There is a higher chance to catch Catfish faster here. Search for a medium sized shadow to begin the fishing. Once you get a Catfish, you can gift it to Hemlock.

You can find him from the map and he will gift you the recipe of Breaded Catfish. You must interact with it from your item bar. You can cook at the stove at the Inn with Cooking Level at 14. You should have ingredients like Flour, Oil and Catfish. This meal will give you a 64 HP and stamina. You the gift the prepared dish to Reina or sell for 80 Tesserae.
