Dragon Ball Daima Release Date: When is Goku coming?

Goku is back! At the Dragon Ball Special Panel held during the New York Comic Con 2023, the new Dragon Ball Daima was first announced. This was the last project before Akira Toriyama passed away. The fanbase was excited to see their heroes in action again. The most awaited Dragon Ball Daima will be aired on 11th October this year. The news of Dragon Ball Daima Release Date 2024 was made official with lots of other tidings regarding the broadcasting channel and timings.

Dragon Ball Daima Release Date Announced

MANTANWEB, Japanese news resources first revealed the official release date. Viewers can watch the series on Fuji TV. The series time slot is every Friday at 11:40 PM. This isn’t the same as the Dragon Ball Super viewing time slot which was every Sunday in the morning time. Moreover, the total number of episodes are ready to broadcast. The general manager of Fuji TV, Yuichi Nakajima confirmed the news.

The series’ first episode will have an additional 10 minutes of broadcast. This made fans speculate about the content of this extended air time. However, western fans are still waiting for a premiere date. Fans speculate the series will be available to watch on Crunchyroll. The same as the other Dragon Ball series. The anime will be premiered on 6th October at the Dragon Ball Daimatsuri event. The event will be held at Tokyo Big Sight where cast members will attend the event.

The nationals of Japan will have a change in their watch timings. The anime premiere slot is on Sunday mornings. However, Dragon Ball Daima will be broadcast nationally in Japan. Fuji TV and fans are both excited for the premiered time. Fans are excited to see more new yet interesting storylines. Seamless animations and new adventures are what fans anticipate from the series.

Dragon Ball Daima Storyline & Cast

A-1 Pictures and Toei Animation produced the series. Yoshitaka Yashima from Dragon Ball Super and Aya Komaki from One Piece directed the series. Yuuko Kakiharawas the script writer whereas Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru adapted Toriyama’s design pattern. Akira Toriyama was involved in this project personally for the story and character design.

Akira Toriyama’s Statement About Dragon Ball Daima

Last year, Toriyama mentioned the series at New York Comic Con 2023. He stated,” Hello. I’m Akira Toriyama. Hello. I’m Akira Toriyama.”

He continued, “I’m currently working on a new Dragon Ball. The title is “Dragon Ball DAIMA”. “DAIMA” is a made-up term, which in Japanese characters would be “大魔” or in English would be something like “Evil.” Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. In order to fix things, they’ll head off to a new world!. It’s a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world. Since Goku has to make up for his petite size, he uses his Nyoibo (Power Pole) to fight, something not seen in a long time. I came up with the story and settings, as well as a lot of the designs. I’m actually putting a lot more into this than usual! Things will unfold that close in on the mysteries of the Dragon Ball world. The storyline of this series is in the times after the Majin Buu Saga. But before Beerus reaches Earth in the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. All characters will be reduced to their childhood size due to a wish to the Dragon Balls. To reverse it, a thrilling and challenging mission will be the only way. The missions will be adventures with miniature-sized characters. However, there are new characters Pansle, Glorio, and Gomah introduced as well.
