How to get Hardwood in Stardew Valley
Hardwood can be collected from Mahogany Trees, Large Logs, and Large Stumps. Mahogany Trees can be cut down by any type of axe. But these trees should be planted by the players themselves. Large Logs can be chopped with a Steel axe or any above upgraded axe. While Large Stumps can be cut down by using a Copper axe or any above-upgraded axe.
Where to Get Hardwood
To plant Mahogany trees, you need to collect its seeds first. The seeds fallen from the tree by shaking it or grown from a Mahogany stump. You can also collect it from Ginger Island and Secret Island. You can also purchase it from Island Trader in exchange for one Stingray.
Collect Hardwood from Ginger Island

Collect Hardwood from Secret Woods
Secret Woods has a hidden land area filled with Hardwood sources. Reach the Secret Woods and head towards the upper left corner of the Cindersap Forest. You will know the correct spot when it will be blocked by a large log. You need to cut it down to enter the area using the Steel Axe.
Once you’re in the area, there will be six large stumps of Mahogany trees respawn every day. This a good number to start with. But the number of stumps depends on the farm layout that you can choose. How to Grow Mahogany Trees
Mahogany trees should not be grown on your land. Players can grow it on quarry and then shift it to farm. The growth time of Mahogany trees varies as it has five stages. After one night, the plant grows 15% to the next stage. But you can speed up this process by using tree fertilizer.
To craft a tree fertilizer, you need 5x Fiber and 5x Stone. This will require a Foraging Level 7. This will increase the growth by 60%. With more water, Mahogany trees will grow faster.
How to Use Hardwood in Stardew Valley
