It’s Almost Time: All About Street Fighter 6 Ed and His Release Date

Beast Ed is here. The Psycho-path boxer from Street Fighter 5 is here. Capcom has recently announced his joining the team of Street Fighter 6 on 27th February 2024. Street Fighter 6: Ed Release Date & Intro

Ed will be released on 27th February 2024 on Street Fighter 6. It will be revealed to the Year 1 Character Pass, Year 1 Ultimate Pass, Deluxe Edition, or Ultimate Edition owners. It will be available for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox X/S, and PC by Steam.

Ed will be the 21st DLC character on the roaster and here is the statement from the Capcom about Ed. It states: “First appearing in Street Fighter 5, after rejecting the evil intentions of M. Bison, Ed managed to escape the grasps of the Shadaloo organization and create Neo Shadaloo with the hopes of helping others like him. His attacks in Street Fighter 6 have changed significantly since the latest installment with all of his attacks now being punches. Ed, the initial inspiration of Modern Controls in Street Fighter 6, will also retain his simplified controls, while now receiving expanded inputs for his Classic Controls”.

Ed: Backstory & Boxing Mechanics

He was first introduced in Street Fighter 5. He stood against evil himself, M. Bison. He created the Neo Shadaloo organization to crush him down. The Runied Lab, a new level is the returning point of players from Street Fighter 6. This is the place where Shadaloo falls in his destroyed laboratory.

Along with this comes the latest updates like for PC switch button and better lighting features in Photo mode. Good news for Ultimate Pass owners is here. For Ultimate Pass or Ultimate Edition owners, Ed will be at this point after it’s released.
