The Fortnite Festival begins on 9th December with various musical entities like Weeknd, Marshmellow, and other rock bands. But now the game is getting to a new level with physical instruments. Yes, soon players can have the musical with their guitar. PDP, a gaming device creator has announced that it is on its way to release the Fortnite Guitar Controller for players to feel the Fortnite Festival rythms.

PDP is a peripheral manufacturer to creates special devices for gaming and is based in California. The above tweet was posted on X from the official account of the PDP on 12th December. The post stated about the Fortnite Festival in code words. It begins with “Rock On this January” and has a few emojis to coded messages. A tent, a crescent, musical notes, a guitar, and a controller coded as the Fortnite Musical Guitar Controller.

PDP X Harmonix For Music Festival

Harmonix, a Rock Band maker from the Battle Royale games has collaborated for the development of the guitar. At the launch of the Fortnite Festival, there wasn’t any official announcement made. But in a talk with IGN, Epic Games confirmed that it will be added in the future, and it is underway.

While speaking to Saxs Persson, Epic EVP and Alex Rigopulos, Harmonix studio director has exciting news for the veteran fans of Rock Band and Guitar Hero. “Not at launch, but it’s very much a priority for us to support instrument peripherals in the game. It’s something that we’re actually already actively working on. We don’t have anything specific to say about it yet, other than it’s coming.” Alex informed.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band are the older franchises of the Fortnite. As Microsoft still owns Guitar Hero after the acquisition of Blizzard, Phil Spencer informed that he would relive the older gaming franchise in the future. Fans are excited to have the former Fortnite games back just like maps in Fortnite OG.
