The latest Walking Dead expansion Betrayal will be soon shut down. Developer, Other Ocean Group, and publisher, Skybound Games official made this announcement regarding the game shutdown. Fans were disappointed to know that the latest Walking Dead: Betrayal will be no longer available to play. After the tremendous Game Awards 2023 game release and trailers, this news will surely strike hard. With the sad news, their statement explained. “After considering a variety of paths forward, and with a great deal of discussion and reflection, Skybound Games and Other Ocean Interactive have decided to stop development on The Walking Dead: Betrayal. Despite the hard work put into the game, we were not able to find a path to build the spirited community of backstabbers we originally envisioned“

The Walking Dead Betrayal ShutDown Date

The Walking Dead Betrayal was available as early access on 14th September this year. The game will begin its removal process on 11th December and will fully shut down on 15th. The players will be given a total refund of the game and its updates will be provided on the official Discord server and Steam.

In the end, the Skybound Games thanked the fanbase and collectors for their experiences and feedback. But things did go well. The negative reviews of the game were disappointing. As previously, the Overkill had the same fate. It was released in November 2018 and shut down in February 2019 for the same reason. Negative reviews and a lack of players made it difficult for the developers to continue.
