The Wonder Woman revealed its trailer at the Games Awards 2021. Since then, Monolith Productions has concealed details regarding the game. But recently a job listing from the production company caught fandom off guard. The position of lead software engineer was vacant. This job position was clearly for the Wonder Woman game.

The job description mentioned “helping maintain a live software product or game”. But the game will be a single-player mode. An open world with an action story and gameplay. This misled the fans to assume that the Woman Woman project would be a live service.

Will it be a Live Service or Not?

The publisher, Warner Bros soon busted the assumptions. IGN received the confirmation. It confirms the live service is unavailable for the Wonder Woman Project. The statement was clearly stated, “Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service“.The spokesperson firmly stood with the company’s initial statement.

“Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open world. This third-person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System. Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service”. The spokesperson stated the details to the IGN.

CEO of Warner Bros. David Zaslav already said, “transforming our biggest franchises from largely console and PC based with three-four year release schedules to include more always-on gameplay through live services, multiplatform, and free-to-play extensions, with the goal to have more players spending more time on more platforms”.

An amazing detail regarding the game is that it will feature the Nemesis System. Previously featured in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor from Monolith Productions. This system allows all the enemies to recognize the combat patterns of the players. This means all the enemies and bosses of the game will remember all the player’s actions.
