Round One, Fight! Welcome to the Arena Reina of Tekken 8

Tekken 8’s characters will not let the players catch their breath. Every week comes with a new charismatic yet lethal character. For this week character dose is Reina. Reina is a new character on Tekken’s platform with a refreshing look, hazardous skills, and interesting background. Today, I will introduce you to the Tekken 8 Reina. Who she is and how is she connected to the roots of Tekken history are all the highlights of this post. So, stick to the end.

Tekken 8: Reina BackStory

Tekken Saga has various fighters with various roles and combat skills. But Reina is really important. What makes her so special is her history. Better say, her bloodline. She is the unlawful child of Heihachi Mishima. Being the daughter of the title holder “the worst dad of the gaming fight history”.

Reina’s connection with other characters is unrevealed at the moment. But we still have some facts on hand. She is a student acquiring training at Mishima Polytechnical School. An elite training institute to polish trainees for the Tekken Force. Obviously, it’s under Heihachi’s ruling.

Sneak Preview of Reina’s Trailer

The solo trailer of Reina was released on the official YouTube channel of Bandi Namco Entertainment. It shows her terrific combat skills against Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Jin is the grandson of Heihachi and Kazuya is the son of Heihachi. She stands alone against the father-son duo in the fight for the power throne at Mishima Zaibatsu corporation. After the death of Heihachi in Tekken 7, the fight begins.

Even without DNA reports, Reina’s Mishima-style fighting karate and taido martial arts proves her bloodline duality. The director of Tekken 8, Kohei Ikeda says that fight styles are the part of overall theme and a trait reflected in her appearance. Character designer of Reina, Mari Shimazaki is an incredible character artist who has a portfolio filled with big titles. Like Kazumi and Josie for Tekken 7 and Soulcalibur 5’s most memorable Ivy costume.

Tekken 8 Reina is the new character on the roster and a new character crush for the players. She is the 32nd character to join with the French Naval officer Victor Chevalier and the other 7 characters. Players are passing the days to get their hands on the Tekken 8.
