The developer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was recently accused by Bloomberg. This happened to be when a recent article about MW3 was published on Bloomberg. The article accused the studio of pushing the deadlines harshly to the extent that the game received bad reviews. In exchange of which the development company has to respond with an official statement. Jason Schreier of Bloomberg recently published Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the development deadline was pushed rashly by the development studios. This results in bad reviews from players and under-the-standard gameplay. According to the article, the studio has to build the game in the duration of one and a half years. Whereas the normal game development for this game takes almost three years. The reason was this rush is said to be the delay of another Modern Warfare sequel which is scheduled for the 2023 window for release.

Modern Warfare 3 is an expansion of Modern Warfare 2. But Activision demanded a complete storyline. This combat series was under development by Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer Games. Raven Software, a subsidiary of Activision has to supervise the entire development phase. Many other reports confirm the delayed development was forcing other games’ deadlines to just two years. Sledgehammer Games was responsible for the MW3.

Sledgehammer Games Respond to Bloomberg’s News

These accusations were responded to by the Sledgehammer Games head, Aaron Halon. Aaron posted on X‘s account about the statement in contrast to Bloomberg’s report. As the MW3 deadline was pushed it led the development team to work late nights and even on weekends.

Infinity Ward was responsible for the feedback on Call of Duty: Vanguard was set to be built in 2021. Sledgehammer Games took the short game development phase to the management. This was which was settled by saying that would not happen in the future. Another report says 2014’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, codenamed Anvil was halted for the MW games.

Aaron clearly claims the accusation that Activision rushed the MW3 development as fans were waiting for the sequel back to the back story.
