When Luck and Strategy Collide: The Day Before Beta Limited Access for Selected Ones Only
The long-predicted horror survival game, The Day Before has an update for fans. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release date but it doesn’t seem to be happening soon. The rough path of the delays is the fate of this anticipated game. The developer Fntastic has released new updates regarding the game and announced surprising news about beta access. In this article, I will share the facts of The Day Before beta limited access news for the die-hard players waiting for the beta version.
The Day Before Beta Limited Access to Volunteers
On November 1st, a brand new trailer of The Day Before was shared. This news drifts a shockwave among the long-awaited fans. But their happiness didn’t last long. The release of the game is now pushed to December 7th of this year for PC players which turned down the smiles of these fans. Previously Diablo 4 faced the same backlash from players when delayed on release date. Recently, Final Fantasy: The Final Shape release date got extended.
IGN journalist questioned about the beta version which was answered as the beta version will be released in April. The twist of the news is that the beta access will be limited to the volunteers only. These volunteers will be a part of the Fntastic staff. The beta access will be given to volunteers of two types.
One is the employees-volunteers. The original employees that are working under the Fntastic title. The second one is the external volunteers. These volunteers will be an unpaid workforce that wants to enhance the gameplay. The external volunteers can join the group later this month.
According to the website of Fntastic website, the external volunteers are defined with proper description. It states “External volunteering is an opportunity for those who are willing to offer their skills and talents to improve the Fntastic community. External volunteering includes various activities, from translation to community moderation.”
Fntastic Remarks on Beta Phase
Fntastic continues its remarks, “As we get closer to the release date, we will be conducting a beta test for the game. This will give players the opportunity to try out the game before it is released and provide valuable feedback that we can use to improve the final product. Further stated, “We will provide more details on the beta test as we approach the release date, so be sure to stay tuned for updates. We look forward to sharing the game with you and you will enjoy playing it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.”
There are no proper and official statements announced by Fntastic apart from the answers to IGN’s journalist. This raises many questions about the management of Fntastic as they still struggle to keep up with their statements. This makes the players frustrated as the dates keep pushing.
The Day Before beta limited access only for some specific volunteers was a rumor last summer. It was considered as exploiting players by the company as they would be working unpaid. This will again spark the debate about the poor decision of Fntastic and dishearten the players who don’t have the time for volunteering. Let’s see what will be the beta phase like and what the external volunteers’ experiences will be.
