How to Grow Beets in Stardew Valley
To grow beets you will need the special Beet Seeds. The bad news is you can’t get these seeds from shops in Pelican Town like Pierre’s General Store or JojoMart. For these seeds, you have to travel to the Desert. You have to reach the Oasis Shop and meet Sandy.
There you can purchase the seeds for 20g. Or else, you can get it from the Travelling Cart from the range of 100 to 1000 g. You can also find them as a treasure. In the Skull Cavern, you can get 25 beet seeds in the treasure rooms. You can also get it in the remixed Dye Bundle on the Bulletin Board.
Once you have the seeds, you can plant your crops. You can grow the Beets in the Fall only. Then wait for 6 days to have one Beet ready. Once it’s mature, it’s ready to harvest.
Benefits of Beets
Once you have harvested enough beets, you can sell them. You can sell this vegetable according to its quality such as for Base(100g), Silver(125g), Gold(150g), and Iridium (200g). But if you are going to buy Beets and you are in Tiller occupation, the price will be 10% additional to the original price.
This sweet crop has various benefits such as a special gift to the other villagers. You can gift it to Leo, Lewis, Linus, and Marnie. You can cook a Vegetable Medley with this vegetable with 1x Tomato. It’s delicious to eat and can be sold for 120 g.
It can craft 3 Sugar for you with 1 Beet. You will need a mill to extract sugar. You can place it in the mill and the next morning you will see the sugar placed in the box on the right side of the mill.
For tailoring, you can use it as a spool for sewing the Button Down shirt by sewing machine. For dyeing, you can use it for purple dye color in the dye pots. These pots will be at the houses of Emily and Harley. But you will need 10 beets to continue the next part of The Mysterious Qi quest.
