There is a significant risk involved – if the terms of the vow are broken or aren’t fulfilled, severe consequences will occur depending on the vow’s conditions. If the terms are fulfilled the winner will achieve a a greater level of power or its targeted goal. Or else, there will be severe consequences will be the destiny of the loser.

In this vow, the sorcerer limit themself by their powers to an extent in order to achieve their bigger goal. Settling conditions help the cursed techniques to improve its power. The consequences are simple. The winner will achieve the goal if the condition are complete. And the loser will lose the goals of failing to complete those terms. Nanami’s Overtime is the perfect example of it. As he explains it to its opponents. In a fight with Nahito, he explains the technique. and also informs him that even explaining to him this technique will boost its effectiveness.
